Laminar Flow

When water is coming out of a hose or other vessel continuously in a downward arc, flowing to the stop of gravity it looks like it is not moving. That optical "illusion" is called laminar flow.

I believe the reason that we believe in solid matter is because of a similar phenomenon in interaction between dark matter and everything else.
