i am a drip in a lava lamp
i am a drip in a lava lamp
birth at the bottom
death at the top
mingling and growing in the middle
an endless ceaseless merciless reordering
inside a closed container
drips cannot steer
they can however join or be forced
to meld
most float all around
nearer now to life
nearer now to death
the buddha says life is like a river
and
watching a river, I think I understand
But you really need to focus on the corners and the riffles
for detritus
for flotsam
to regress and go against
then, short of a trap,
only for a short while
while we float in one direction
we are tricked again
just like that time
A lava lamp is a better analogy
all one at the extremes
the buddha isn't perfect
like a river or a lava lamp
